Nothing like MeMe and Papaw's House!!

There is really nothing like the Mississippi Delta and nothing like going home. I LOVE it and I LOVE that I grew up there!! I grew up riding on my daddy's tractors, playing in his cotton trailers, fishing out of his fish ponds and was just able to do things like ride my bike with all of my friends all over town, without a care in the world. To this day, I still feel like a child at Christmas everytime I go home- Mom and Dad take such good care of us!! This weekend we got to experience a little of that small town magic and I just treasured every second of it. There are so many things about a small town that I miss and I hope to give Jack and Emma a little piece of it as often as I can!!

Here we go... we're on our way to Belzoni!!

A little Gator fun!!

We even got to go to the Pumpkin Patch!!

This picture just cracks me up, and anyone who knows mom should crack up too!!

Jack and PaPaw are two peas in a pod!!

We got to go to the most precious Halloween Party when we got home from our fun weekend in Belzoni! The Ezell's always know how to throw a fun party!!

Pumpkins and Dress Up

We have had one sick little girl this week! She has had an ear infection and bronchilitis...a lot for a 10 week old baby! Other than a really terrible sounding cough you wouldn't know it though. She has still been smiling away, sleeping good and eating good- as you can tell, yes 13 pounds!! We are so thankful to have Dr. Smith take care of our children. I really can't say enough great things about him, both professionally and personally. Thanks to him we caught this in time before it turned into pneumonia and are now hopefully on the mend. We got Emma out for the first time today and had a little pumpkin fun- what a beautiful day! We all needed the time out, especially Jack. He's gotten really bored this week watching me play dress up with Emma. When you have a sick little one, it definitely makes you stop taking for granted all of the small everyday occurences in your child's life. Something that you sometimes find annoying at 2am, such as a cry, suddenly becomes a sound of peace and comfort~! How thankful we are for our healthy, happy babies!!!

The progression of our dress up started here...

I think we have a flower that matches!!

Oh wait, lets add the tutu!!

Emma's favorite activity is watching her mobile (It was Jack's too!)!! She watches it several songs through!!:))

This is how she sleeps- It helps her acid reflux!! Thank you Nap Nanny!!

My MeMe can't get enough of me!!

The Day of Pumpkins

I think I'll take this one!

Jack turns everything into a drum!!

Pumpkin decorating at church this afternoon was so much fun!! Emma and I stood back and watched the creative juices flow!

The finished products!! Good job guys!!:))

...And we can't forget our trip to the fair!!

Oh yes, I was able to get out and have a little fun too- Thanks Mom!!! What a fun night celebrating Tiffany's birthday with friends at Easily Amused!!

Life is Good!!

We had such a fun, incredible weekend!! It all started on Friday morning with a field trip to the petting zoo, at the fair, with Jack's class. Jack goes to the sweetest school and has the sweetest little class and awesome teacher!! We are so thankful and blessed to be a part of Trinity!! Next came Tiffany's 40th Birthday Party on Friday night!! I am so proud to have such an awesome sister and so lucky to have such a special bond with her!! Tiffany, you are Fabulous at 40 and I love you dearly!!!! Finally, on Saturday night Bryan and I had dinner with my oldest and dearest friends Sutton and Roger, Annie, Rainer and precious little Ana!! The Sory's are my second family and it means the absolute world to me when I get to spend time with them!!! There's never a dull moment and we always walk away wondering where the time went and we can't wait until we get to see each other again!! I cannot express enough how much the Sory's mean to me- Love You All!! I can't continue to talk about this awesome weekend without saying that Friday marked five wonderful, amazing years with my sweet, loving husband!! Five years ago I had my dream wedding with my dream husband which began my happily ever after... What more could I ask for!!

Jack's Field Trip

You would think I told Jack and the baby goat to pose!!:)

2 Months Old

It is really hard to believe that Emma is 2 months old today!! It seems like we were in the hospital just a couple of weeks ago bringing our sweet, new baby into the world. I will not say that it has been a piece of cake, but we have made a lot of progress in just 2 months. I finally feel almost normal again!! Her "fussy times" seem to be few are far between these days. In fact, she is just a bundle of smiles and giggles. She really smiles all of the time- It just makes our hearts melt!! She is also sleeping and napping better and I really think her acid reflux is a little better. Jack also seems to be getting the hang of his new baby sister. We have desperately tried to keep things as normal as possible for him, and other than just being a typical 2 year old I really don't think he has missed a beat! He kisses her every chance he gets and he already seems very protective of her- it's too cute!! What fun times we have in store!!
