Emma's Christening

A Christening is the gift of God's grace and love, the celebration of a precious new child in His world. It is a time to give thanks for the beautiful blessing of life. God blessed us with Emma to cherish and to love and we committed to raise her as Godly parents, to show her His way all our lives. What a Celebration!!!! We had such an amazing day. The preacher revolved the entire worship service around her christening- exactly why I wanted to go "home" to do it...so sentimental!! We didn't take pictures during the actual christening, but I have LOTS of other pictures to share!!!!

What a Week!

Emma has been a sick little girl this week!!! I took her to the doctor on Monday with a slight temp and a horrible cough! Dr. Smith said she had bronchilitis again and an ear infection, so he started her on breathing treatments and antibiotics. By Wednesday things got worse, with her temp spiking to 103.1!!!! Needless to say, Bryan and I were frantic, so we rushed her back to the doctor and this time we found out that she had RSV! I'm still really not sure what the difference in bronchilitis and RSV is, but nonetheless she had to have a decadron and a rocephin shot:( As painful as it was for her, it was just as terrible for us!! We thought things would certainly get better after that, but on Thursday night she was up all night screaming in pain every time we tried to lay her down... so we knew it must be her ears!! So, of course we were back to the doctor first thing Friday morning and she had to get a second rocephin shot- he said her ears looked terrible!! She has been a little better this weekend, but thank goodness we have a follow-up appointment tomorrow to see how everything looks!! I've never felt so helpless as I have this week, but hopefully we're on the mend now:)!!

If bronchilitis, RSV and an ear infection aren't enough, she's also cut not one but 2 teeth...Poor little thing:)

I took this picture today! This is feeling good!!:)

She has started doing these crazy sit-ups in her bouncy and in her swing- she is a strong little cookie!!
