New Orleans Trip

In the shark mouth!!

Enjoying a delicious meal at the Gumbo Shoppe-Yummy!

The three boys outside Camilla Grill for breakfast!

In the butterfly garden of the Insectarium- sleeping, of course!

Fun ride on the carousel with MeMe!

Yes, he's touching a snake!!

Cool little underwater play area!

This was typical Jack most of the trip:))

Mom, Tiffany, Will, Tyler, Jack and I went on a little mini-vacation to New Orleans this week. We all had such a good time, minus Jack waking at 5:30 everyday and also minus the trip home, due to illnesses running rampart in the car-sorry mom! We toured around the zoo, aquarium, IMAX (well not Jack, he was scared of the dinosaurs) and the insectarium. The kids all loved those spots, and it was so fun to watch them enjoy it so much!! By the way, the insectarium is very cool- by far my favorite of all of the kid spots!! We also did lots of good eating, shopping and just walking around the french quarter people watching!! We also even got to have a fabulous meal and visit with Sut, Roger, Rainer and Ana!! This was definitely not a very relaxing trip, but it sure was fun!!

It's a Baby Girl!!!!

We are still in shock, but soooo excited to announce that we are having a GIRL!!!!! However, most importantly is that the baby is doing great and everything is as it should be!! It was so surreal to hear the sonogram lady say, "It's a girl!!" She then immediately started calling the baby, she and her, as she was pointing out her organs and bones. I was seriously just in shock, so thank goodness Bryan was videoing the whole thing, because I really didn't hear a word she said after that except, "She looks great!" I guess we just had our minds made up it was a boy with Bryan being one of four boys and Tiffany having two boys. As much as we wanted a girl, it just seemed out of our reach! Needless to say, we are already in love with our precious baby girl. We keep telling Jack he is going to have a little sister, but he really just looks at us like, "What in the world is a sister??" We'll have to see how he is going to do with this whole thing:)) Now comes all of the fun planning and shopping for the nursery and the ever so "picky" name picking. I can't wait to get started. We truly feel very blessed in every way!!

Easter Egg Painting

We had so much fun painting ceramic Easter eggs and eating lunch with Rebecca, Cullen and lots of other moms and babies at Different Strokes today. They used their handprints to make bunnies and then painted cute little dots and their names on them. They are going to be precious!! Thank goodness the girls at Different Strokes are so laid back. Jack was running around trying to play with everything(breakable)and they just smiled and acted like no big deal- they were extremely nice!! It was really a fun mommy/baby day!

On another note...everything seems to be going great with Carter baby #2. I began to feel the baby move at 16 weeks- I'm 18 weeks now. It moves all of the time:) I really don't remember feeling Jack move so much. It's funny how you forget things, or could it mean this baby is just going to be more active than Jack??!! We go to the doctor tomorrow and have our big sonogram. Boy or Girl, we will soon find out, but all we are really hoping for is another healthy, happy baby!!!
